Borgo Alle Coccinelle is found in an ideal position for those who love sports and the great outdoors. The Santa Luce woods is full of trails so there is no risk of getting lost. Areas have been prepared with tables and grills for picnics.

For lovers of nature there are paths for shorts walks or long excursions. The various paths are labeled with signs that have been distributed by the region of Tuscany and the city of Sana Luce.

Some trails are better for walking, while others are more adapted to mountain biking and horseback riding.

Being in the position that it is, Borgo Alle Coccinelle offers a variety of touristic possiblities. Within the city limits of Santa Luce you'll find the Lipu Oasis, with over 150 species on its grounds.

In Winter the oasis is populated by multicolored ducks like the Great Bittern, the Green winged Teal, the Mallard and the Eurasian Wigeon, while the cormorants make a show posing on the tree branches with their wings spread wide to take in the warmth of the sun. There are also many migratory birds, especially herons such as the Black Crowned Night heron, the Little Egret, the Little Bittern and the Red Heron who pass by here on their long journey to rest on the lake's shores.

In an ecosystem like that of the lake is home to an enormous collection of life and biological diversity like the elegant dragonflies, colorful butterflies and great night sphinxes. All of this can be seen up close at the oasis thanks to the many trails in place. For children there are educational possiblities for learing about plants.

Borgo Alle Coccinelle also has ideas for cultural and religious tourism. The Buddhist temple of Pomaia is very close and offers tours by the tibetan monks in sacred gardens for relaxation and meditation.

The sweet rolling hills make the perfect spot for those who like cycling through the magnificent Tuscan countryside.

Very important cities of art like Bolgheri, Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Siena and Florenz are very close by, along with the Etruscan coast. Don't forget the Eno-gastronomic specialities found in the many restaurant and festivals of the area that bring back typical Tuscan cuisine to tradition.
